Dr. Atula Sharma is a double board-certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist that has been practicing holistic, human-centered, integrated medicine for over 25 years. After she graduated from M.G.M Medical College, she briefly worked in education before opening a hospital in India where she practiced internal medicine, with a focus on obstetrics & gynecology. In 1994, she was accepted to the University of Chicago Hospital where she completed her residency and fellowship in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. She started ADI Pediatric Behavioral Health in 2003 in response to the deficiencies she observed in mental health field, in which the needs of real people were being neglected. At ADI, she is proud to have created a one-of-a-kind health & wellness culture that balances science, human, and ethical and emphasizes recovery and resilience; a practice that promotes the fulfillment and empowerment of patients as active and accountable participants in the own health care & wellness.

Dr. Sharma is the daughter of a life-long educator and lawyer, wife and mother to a family with ADHD, and ‘nanima’ to three amazing grandkids. She loves to paint, travel, cook, and meet new people.
